Pedophile dwarf, 26, who groomed teen girls on Facebook and begged them for sex is spared jail because of his size

A pedophile dwarf who encouraged two teenage girls to carry out sex acts online will not be going to prison because he would have a "very hard time".

Bryan Anthony Bowen, of Welshpool, Powys, contacted the children, aged 13 and 15, on their Facebook pages, where he asked them for sex and to send naked photos.

One of the messages he sent to a 15-year-old girl read: "I will f*** you for your birthday present".

The court that the 15-year-old girl had attempted to block Bowen after he had sent her a message saying "Do you want to f***?". It was after this that he sent the girl the obscene 'birthday present' message. Police found another message on his laptop to a 13-year-old, whom he described as "fit as f***" and inquired whether she had a boyfriend.

When Bowen was arrested, he said that he thought the girls were over 16. He later admitted to the two incitement charges, which occurred between July and October 2015. A further harassment charge was dropped.

Bowen's lawyer, Dafydd Roberts urged the judge not to jail Bowen, who has learning difficulties. During his sentencing, Judge Rhys Rowland described Bowen as "small in stature and emotionally inadequate" and that he would have a "very hard time" in prison. The pedophile was handed a 48-week prison sentence, suspended for two years.  He was also given a rehabilitation order, which includes a three-month curfew between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. Finally, he was given a 10-year sexual harm prevention order and placed on the Sex Offenders' Register.
